Photos are taken, and then someone has to crop each one, centre the face, resize it to the required dimensions, and rename the file using the student's ID number. At a school with 400 students, this process can easily take several days.
Arasix MEB Photo was built to turn that workload into an afternoon.
The Software Finds the Face and Builds the Frame
The program uses the face detection component built into Windows to locate the face and automatically calculate the crop according to standard ID photo proportions.
Eye position, chin position, and head size within the frame are taken into account to create a consistent result.
The final image is saved as a JPEG at 133 × 171 pixels, the dimensions required for use with the Turkish Ministry of National Education's e-Okul system.
You can process an entire folder with a single click and manually crop the small number of photos where a face cannot be detected. The program clearly identifies which photos could not be processed, so nothing is silently skipped.

An internet connection is used only for the optional update check. The core photo processing features continue to work on computers without an internet connection.
